Brother of 'Harry Potter' Actress Jailed for 6 Months

The brother of "Harry Potter" star Afshan Azad has been jailed for six months after pleading guilty to assaulting the actress last year. Azad, who played witch Padma Patil in four of the boy wizard movies, alleged her father Abdul and brother Ashraf had attacked her at her home in Manchester, England last May.

The relatives were said to have argued with the Muslim star, 22, after
overhearing her talking on the phone to her Hindu boyfriend. The altercation reportedly escalated and turned violent, with the pair threatening to kill the actress, after she refused their demands to end the relationship.

Death-threat charges against Azad's father and brother were later dropped by prosecutors following a desperate plea from the star, and they were both cleared at Manchester Crown Court, England in December.

Azad's father was bound to keep the peace for 12 months and her brother was banned from contacting his sister at her new home in London. However, Ashraf Azad admitted to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was ordered to serve jail time during sentencing on Friday, January 22.

Jim Carrey Spotted on Date With 'Top Model' Alumna

Jim Carrey is enjoying some model company with a new woman - aspiring runway star Anchal Joseph. The comedian has been spotted out and about in New York with a string of beauties in recent weeks as he moves on from his 2010 break-up with his girlfriend of five years, actress/model Jenny McCarthy.

He enjoyed a theatre date with a mystery blonde last week, but it appears he's found a new love interest after stepping out with Joseph, a former contestant on Tyra Banks' reality show "America's Next Top Model", on Thursday, January 20.
"The Mask" star, 49, was photographed holding hands with the 24-year-old Indian stunner after attending a production of Laura Linney's Broadway play "Time Stands Still".

Deer Impaled on Eminem's Spiked Fence

Rapper Eminem is inadvertently helping to feed the needy in Michigan after a deer became impaled on a fence on his property. Local authorities were called out to the "Not Afraid" star's gated home in Clinton Township on Wednesday, January 19 after his security system was set off, sparking suspicion of a possible intruder.

Cops failed to find any indication of a break-in and dismissed the incident as a false alarm. However, it later emerged a deer had caused the security scare after attempting to jump over a spiked boundary fence.

Officers from the Department of Natural Resources attended the scene to
investigate the incident. They later removed the dead deer and are planning to donate the meat to hungry families in the area, according to AllHipHop.com.

Beyonce Hints She Lost Her Virginity to Jay-Z

Jay-Z is allegedly the lucky guy who took Beyonce Knowles' virginity. The 29-year-old singer recently hinted that she was still virgin until she met the rapper, who became her second boyfriend and is now her husband.

Beyonce claimed she only had two men in her love life and that she never had sex with the first guy. "Though I was too young for it to really be a boyfriend - we didn't live together, we didn't, you know ...," she said about her first boyfriend. "That was my only experience with a guy, and since then I've only had one other boyfriend in my life - Jay."

"People would be surprised as to the lack of experiences I've had," she also
shared. "When I was 12 or 13 I had my first boyfriend, and he was my boyfriend until I was 17. At that age, that was a long time. I've always been very loyal and a little more mature."

Beyonce and Jay-Z were first reported dating in 2002 though they remained discreet about their relationship. The couple later married in New York City on April 4, 2008.

Porn Star Sexy Cora Died After Botched Boob Job

German porn star Sexy Cora has died at the age of 23 after suffering complications from a botched boob job. The busty blonde, real name Carolin Ebert, underwent surgery to boost her chest size at the Alster Clinic in Hamburg earlier this month, but she had a heart attack during the operation and fell into a coma.

She died on Thursday, January 20, nine days after going under the knife. Two of
the surgeons who performed the breast enhancement are now facing charges of negligent manslaughter.

Ebert's husband tells a local newspaper, "The brain damage was too great. Her blood pressure dropped steadily, physiological functions gave out... then she went to sleep quietly."

The model/actress previously hit the headlines in 2009 when she was hospitalized after attempting to set a new world record for the number of fellatios performed in 24 hours. She was forced to give up her goal of 200 after giving 75 men oral sex.

Michael Jackson's Mother Challenges Promoters' Lawsuit Dismissal Request

Michael Jackson's mother has launched a legal battle with the King of Pop's concert promoters, insisting they ignored life-threatening activities that were going on behind closed doors at the star's rented mansion - and resulted in his death.

Katherine Jackson is suing executives at AEG, the company behind the "Thriller" hitmaker's doomed comeback shows in London, for fraud and negligence. The late pop superstar's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, has been ordered to stand trial on involuntary manslaughter charges, relating to the June 2009 tragedy - and the singer's mum feels sure promoters knew what he was doing.
Katherine is challenging AEG's motion to dismiss the wrongful death lawsuit against the company, according to TMZ.com. In her documents, she alleges AEG retained Dr. Murray for an "exorbitant salary of $150,000 monthly," and in return Murray agreed to "get Jackson to attend rehearsals and perform".

Her legal team claims, "AEG should have known that the course of treatment being administered by Dr. Murray was unorthodox and unsafe." Dr. Murray is accused of administering the dose of anaesthetic Propofol, which killed Jackson.

Mugler Short Movie Feat. Lady GaGa's 'Born This Way' Song Arrives

After teased in low-quality footage, Lady GaGa's new remixed song for Thierry Mugler's January 19 fashion show has finally debuted in a mini movie from the fashion house. The track reportedly is not the title track, but rather a random cut from her new album "Born This Way".

Fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco directed the movie, and he shot it before he got the music. "I'll be 100 percent honest with you: We didn't get the music until after the video," he told MTV. "Nicola [Formichetti, Mugler creative director and GaGa's stylist] hummed it to me and tried singing it to me. It was hilarious. And described it to me in a really articulate way."

"He said, 'It's techno meets Whitney Houston, in a really good way.' When he described that to me, I thought the best treatment to that would be to film it in slow motion 'cause I think house music with slow-moving images works," he continued. "I filmed a lot of scenes that were in my heart and in my mind."

The movie features skeleton-tattooed model Rick Genest and some shots from the Wednesday runway in black-and-white scenes. "She called Nicola, and she said she loved the video," Vivanco said of how GaGa reacted to the film he created for her music. "She's the queen of our times."

GaGa herself said she made the soundtrack specially for Mugler, not just for anyone because she admired his work. "I love him, my friend the genius, my collaborator, more more than any piece of clothing or closet I possess. But don't tell him I said that, he'll die. He picked them all out," she said in a statement.

As of late, Lady GaGa is currently preparing for her upcoming Grammy performance on February 13 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. She is expected to debut her first single live, and then set to follow it up with a music video premiere and an album release on May 23 in the United States.

Bieber, Jaden Smith, Usher, Muse, Lady Antebellum Added to Grammy Line-Up

The second batch of Grammy performers has been revealed by NARAS. Confirming previously-rumored musical guests B.o.B, Janelle Monae and Bruno Mars, they also name never-before-mentioned artists like Justin Bieber, Jaden Smith and Usher as additional musical acts.

The other newly-unveiled performers are Lady Antebellum and Muse. While the two bands are mostly likely to rock the Grammy stage in separate sets, Bieber,
Smith and Usher who once made a live collaboration in "Never Say Never", reportedly will share the stage together for a special performance. B.o.B, Monae and Mars are said to make a joint performance as well.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast on CBS at 8 P.M. ET/PT. Joining those newly-confirmed musical guests are Eminem, Miranda Lambert, Cee-Lo, Arcade Fire, Lady GaGa and Katy Perry. Now that the performers list has been crowded with A-list names, fans can expect the announcement of high profile presenters in the coming weeks.

Official Cover Art of Dr. Dre's 'I Need a Doctor' Ft. Eminem

Cover art of Dr. Dre's new single "I Need a Doctor" which features Eminem has been unleashed. Instead of boasting image of the two powerhouse rap artists, the artwork features a hospital board that shows where to go to "Aftermath Rehab Center" and "Detox Lab" among other "medical rooms."

Beside featuring the Slim Shady, "I Need a Doctor" also has Skylar Grey lending his vocal. It's produced by Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" mastermind Alex da Kid and will appear in Dre's next studio album "Detox" which will arrive later this year. The single itself will be released for
download on February 1.

"Detox" is a long-delayed album which will be Dre's first studio release since his 1999 effort "2001". He said, "One of the reasons it was taking so long is because I felt like I was doing it more out of obligation as opposed to really feeling it. As of last year, I've been really feeling where it's going and it feels good and I think I'm ready."

Britney Spears Hooks Up With Gucci Mane in 'Hit' Song

One of the artists who will collaborate with Britney Spears is revealed. According to Rumor Fix, the pop singer has signed Gucci Mane to rap in one of her new songs titled "Hit". They reportedly will meet next week in an Atlanta studio at Mizay Entertainment to record the duet.

"Britney's so icy," said the rapper who recently got an ice cream cone tattooed on the side of his face. "I'm going to make her go Brrr."
Gucci then proceeded to praise Britney, saying she's "raw and exciting. She's crazy. We like to get down like that."

Britney Spears is currently preparing her new album which is planned to come out in March but yet to be titled. She has rolled out her first single "Hold It Against Me" which instantly becomes a hit. It ruled iTunes charts in at least sixteen countries and got the most radio airplays on its release day.

Now, it's sitting at No. 1 on Hot 100 and broke record by selling more than 411,000 downloads in its first week. It's the largest debut for a woman as a lead artist. The record was previously held by Taylor Swift as her "Today Was a Fairytale" scanned 325,000 downloads.

A music video is currently being prepared with Jonas Akerlund reportedly serving as a director. According to choreographer Brian Friedman, it will be "a dance video" and they have done some rehearsals. Moreover, Britney will be "taking risks when it comes to the fashion."

George Clooney Recovered From Malaria He Contracted in Sudan

George Clooney's representative has confirmed the actor is completely recovered from a bout of malaria which he contracted during a recent trip to Sudan. The Oscar-winner revealed during an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan that he fell ill with the mosquito-borne disease earlier this month while filming an initiative to promote democracy in the country.

During the chat, to be aired in the U.S. on Friday, January 21, the star admitted it was the second time he has been struck down with malaria due to his frequent visits to the war-torn African nation as a leading advocate for refugees. Following the revelation on Morgan's show, speculation has been rife that Clooney is still
fighting to regain his health.

But his publicist insists the actor is 100 per cent well again, and has used the news to highlight the need for anti-malaria drugs to be accessible across Africa. The rep tells People.com, "George is completely over the Malaria he contracted while in the Sudan during the first week in January. This was his second bout with it. This illustrates how, with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa can be reduced to a bad 10 days instead of a death sentence."

Rihanna's Father Forgave Chris Brown After Brutal Attack

Rihanna's father admits he "feels sorry" for his daughter's ex-lover Chris Brown despite his brutal attack on the pop star two years ago. The "Umbrella" singer fell out with her father Ronald Fenty in 2009 after he spoke to the media on her behalf in the wake of her infamous fight with her then-boyfriend.

Fenty, who reconciled with Rihanna over the Christmas period, has now risked his daughter's wrath again by admitting he is sympathetic towards the "Kiss Kiss" singer - because a "stupid mistake" has had a negative effect on his career. He tells Britain's The Sun, "It was really tough seeing the pictures of her beaten up."
"But I have forgiven him. He has lost so much from one stupid mistake. So me making him feel even worse makes no sense. I feel sorry for him now."

Howard Mann Labels Michael Jackson's Estate 'Fraudulently Obtained Dictatorship'

Katherine Jackson's business partner Howard Mann has criticized the administrators of Michael Jackson's estate after they filed suit over allegations he is cashing in on the late superstar's image without proper permission. Estate bosses are suing Mann, claiming he has made millions from Jackson's music, photos and drawings illegally.

According to court papers, they believe Mann hauled in more than $1.5 million from Katherine Jackson's coffee table book, "Never Can Say Goodbye", in its first two days on sale - and they want to recoup all the revenues, as well as damages.
Mann is furious the lawyers behind the estate are chasing him to garner more profits, and has labeled them a "fraudulently obtained dictatorship" in a rant to TMZ.com.

He adds, "These lawyers have absolutely no interest in the preservation of Michael Jackson's legacy and less interest in generating revenues for his beneficiaries. The Estate will fall as a result of these draconian tactics and it is my hope that Miss Jackson regains control of that which was stolen from her."

Jackson's estate is managed by executors John Branca and John McClain.

Professor X and Magneto Use Their Power in New 'X-Men: First Class' Photos

Director Matthew Vaughn has shared more pictures from "X-Men: First Class" after he was made frustrated by a leaked cast picture a few days ago. One image shows James McAvoy's Charles Xavier getting his telepathy. The other one sees Michael Fassbender's Erik Lensherr in costume plus his helmet stretching his hand as if to unleash his power.
Speaking about X-Men uniform, Vaughn tells Slash Film, "The costumes are blue and yellow as well, because f**k it, lets take it back it the original. Also, by the way, those costumes are hardly in the movie. The main costumes are like these cool 60's James Bond..." He also promises the movie will not ruin the original work, saying "I'm a fan of X-Men. We're not bastardizing X-Men, I'm trying to get them back to being whole again."

"Imagine the Cuban Missile crisis and discovering that mutants exist, both at the same time," he dishes on the story. As for some people who get an impression that "First Class" looks like "Fantastic Four", he's got this to say, "It's ['X-Men: First Class'] definitely more serious and more realistic, and I think that's something that had to happen."

Matthew Vaughn is currently editing the movie in London. The film, which will chart the epic beginning of the "X-Men" saga, is set to open in U.S. cinemas on June 3. There is no word on when the first trailer will arrive.

New 'Bel Ami' Photo Shows Robert Pattinson With Different Hairstyle

A new picture from Robert Pattinson's "Bel Ami" has come out to tease fans while a release date for the film has not been determined yet. The photo features the British actor alone, sitting in front of a table and wearing a vintage outfit.

While there is nothing special with the scene captured in the image, it can be seen that Pattinson's character has a different hairstyle from the one seen in
other stills. If he was previously seen having a neat hairstyle with center parting, this time his hair is less sleek and having right parting.

"Bel Ami" is based on Guy de Maupassant's novel with the same title. Pattinson's character, Georges Duroy, is a man who rises to the top by manipulating a series of powerful and wealthy mistresses. Uma Thurman will play Madeleine Forestier who is extremely involved and connected in the goings-on of Parisian society before later becomes Duroy's wife.

Also cast in the film are Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas. Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod team up to direct the movie, which was shot in England and Budapest, Hungary.

WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange's Life to Be Exposed in Biopic

Julian Assange, a founder of controversial website WikiLeaks, is apparently an interesting subject for filmmakers. His life is about to be turned into a big screen project, according to Variety. Josephson Entertainment and Michelle Krumm Productions have optioned an upcoming biography of Assange.

Entitled "The Most Dangerous Man in the World", the book is written by Andrew Fowler and covers major events in Assange's life from his childhood leading up to
his website WikiLeaks which was launched in 2006. The reporter for the Australian news show "Foreign Correspondent" has repeatedly interviewed Assange, including a famous report last June released shortly after Assange was said to have gone into hiding.

Michelle Krumm, Barry Josephson and L.H. Adonis are producing the project which is being developed as a drama/thriller. There is still no word on a planned release date for this untitled Julian Assange biopic.

Julian Assange is currently under house arrest in England. He is wanted by Swedish authorities who have accused him of sex crimes. As of late, the 39-year-old Australian caused a stir after releasing American diplomatic cables.

Jesse James Confirms Getting Engaged to Kat Von D

Jesse James is engaged to wed celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D - less than a year after his cheating scandal spelled the end of his marriage to Sandra Bullock. The Hollywood actress dumped James in March, 2010 after reports of his infidelity hit the headlines, days after she won her first Academy Award.

Their divorce was finalized in June 2010 and James has wasted no time moving on - he's confirmed rumors he's asked Von D to become his fourth wife. James has declared his love for the tattooed star to People.com, revealing he knew she was the one for him after seeing how dedicated she was to the relationship while the "world turned their backs" on him.
He says, "You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs."

"I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f**kin' blast!" His 28-year-old bride-to-be gushes, "There is no one else for me. He's the one."

Von D sparked reports of an engagement in October 2010 when she was spotted wearing a huge antique ring on her wedding finger at a book signing - but she refused to address the speculation. She told USA Today, "I don't know if I really feel comfortable talking about it."

She was previously married to fellow ink artist Oliver Peck, but they split in 2007. Von D has also dated rocker Nikki Sixx. James, 41, began dating Von D last summer.

Ricky Martin Wants to Have Daughter

Ricky Martin plans to expand his family because he's desperate to add a little girl to his brood of boys. The "Livin' La Vida Loca" hitmaker is father to twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, who were born via a surrogate mother in 2008.

Martin recently admitted he wants more children, and will consider adoption in the future, and now he's revealed he longs for a daughter. He tells E! Online, "I want more (children). This is only the beginning of our family... I don't know (how many). Maybe one, two more. But yeah, definitely. I need daddy's girl."

Most recently, Ricky Martin gave some parental advice to fellow singer Elton
John, "Life changes! You have to sleep because you are not going to sleep ever again! Babies wake up every two hours. At 7 o'clock you are awake. For me, I was a night owl in the past, but now, I'm up, I'm working, I'm already dealing with the kids."

Peter Facinelli Struggling to Shoot Two 'Twilight' Movies

Actor Peter Facinelli is finding it difficult to shoot both "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" movies at the same time - because he keeps forgetting which scenes he's filming. The star, who plays vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the franchise, is busy working on the final pictures, which are set for release later this year and 2012.

Scenes from both movies are being shot simultaneously, and Facinelli admits he's struggling to keep track of what he's doing. He tells E! Online, "It's a little bit more difficult. It's a little more intimidating because there's so much work to be done, and you're jumping from one movie to another."
"It's not in any kind of order so it does get daunting as you figure out which movie you're in and what sequences you're in... It's long hours. But we're putting in the work and hopefully it will come together as it always does."

And the actor admits he's so active on-set, he barely has time to stop for meals, "We're so busy, we don't even eat anymore. We just stopped eating."

Kim Kardashian Is Hit Back for Slamming 'Teen Mom'

Kim Kardashian made a good intention to stop teen pregnancy in America but unfortunately some people thought she is not in position to do so. Kim wrote in her blog, "It seems that shows like 'Teen Mom' are all of the sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls." The cast of the MTV show, Amber Portwood, blasted her for this comment.

"There's actually a study that shows since the original '16 and Pregnant' aired,
the number of teen pregnancies has gone down," Amber told E! Online, before dropping the bomb, "Last time I checked, Kim Kardashian had a sex tape floating around on the internet and I'm pretty sure she made a lot of money off of it. She made a sex tape when she was younger, and she wants to bash the girls on 'Teen Mom'?"

Kim said in her blog, "When I think back to when I was 16, there is no way I would even have considered having a baby. That thought wouldn't even have entered my head. Having a baby is one one of the biggest, and most life-changing decisions a person can make and while I'm not saying that no teen is in the position to raise a child, having a baby so young shouldn't be seen as the trendy thing to do."

In her defense, Amber said, "If you read the articles about the show, they do nothing but talk about how the show reveals how hard it is for all of us. It doesn't glamorize anything! It shows the heartache we've all gone through. We may be 'celebrities' because our face is out there, but it's only because we've done some bad things. That's not glamorous."

Meanwhile, another teen who is featured on "Teen Mom 2", Jenelle Evans, simply said, "I want to say, s**t happens."

Oksana Grigorieva's Ex-Bodyguard Defends Mel Gibson

Oksana Grigorieva will struggle to fight allegations she secretly taped phone calls with Mel Gibson with the purpose of extortion - her former bodyguard insists she wanted to "pressure" the star into handing over a financial settlement. The former couple split last year and is currently locked in a bitter custody battle over baby daughter Lucia.

The break-up turned nasty when Grigorieva accused the actor of domestic
violence, and captured him on tape allegedly confessing to striking her. But police have been called in to investigate the Russian singer amid claims she purposely recorded the heated phone conversations with Gibson in a bid to force him to pay her a settlement sum to keep their disputes out of the press.

Grigorieva has denied the accusations, insisting she only taped Gibson's angry calls because she feared for her life - but her former security guard Kristian Herzog claims otherwise. Herzog, who was fired by the singer in October 2010, tells TMZ.com she wanted "to pressure Mel to pay her money" and suggests Grigorieva plotted the extortion early on, branding her a "sexual sorceress".

He has also defended Gibson against allegations he punched his ex - he claims Grigorieva told him all about the violent incident and admitted that the actor had only slapped her.

Madonna and Prince End Long-Running Feud

Superstars Madonna and Prince have ended their decades-long feud after the Material Girl turned up to one of his recent New York concerts and cheered him on from the crowd. The pop idols were close friends throughout the 1980s and briefly became lovers before teaming up to record the track "Love Song", from Madonna's 1988 album "Like a Prayer".

But they suffered a mystery fall-out and their relationship turned bitter as they took shots at one another through the media. In subsequent interviews, Madonna blasted Prince as a "little troll" and criticized his refusal to eat during
one dinner date. She said, "He was just sipping tea, very daintily. I have this theory about people who don't eat. They annoy me."

Their spat continued throughout the years and Prince most recently took aim at mother-of-four Madonna at a concert in London in 2007, when he quipped, "I got so many hits y'all can't handle me. I got more hits than Madonna's got kids!"

But the old pals now appear to have put their differences to rest - according to UsMagazine.com, Madonna was spotted in the audience at Prince's Madison Square Garden gig on Tuesday, January 18, singing and clapping along to the soul star's hits. And Prince even acknowledged Madonna's presence by giving her a special shout out from the stage, after joking about the high-price of their concert tickets.

Ke$ha's Father Denies Claims About Her Fatherless Childhood

Pop star Ke$ha's family history has come under scrutiny after a man purporting to be her father accused the singer of lying about not knowing the identity of her real dad. Engineer Bob Chamberlain, a musician himself, has been left devastated by the "TiK ToK" hitmaker's repeated assertions about her fatherless childhood - because he alleges he was in regular contact with her and her mother Pebe Sebert throughout her youth.

He claims they spent time together as she was growing up and he even has photos of the pair and letters from his famous daughter, addressed, "Dear Dad...". He lost contact with Ke$ha, now 23, four years ago, but was left baffled when he heard the singer had completely erased him from her memory.

Speaking out for the first time, Chamberlain tells America's Star magazine, "I was in her life from the time she was born until she was 19 years old. The contact ended, and I have no idea why. Maybe someone around her thought it would be better to perpetuate those myths; I don't know."

Nicki Minaj Threatened to Be Kicked Out of London Hotel

Rap sensation Nicki Minaj was almost booted out of a top London hotel on Thursday, January 20 after bosses became annoyed by the huge numbers of fans crowding the entrance to the venue to catch a glimpse of the star. The hip-hop star is on the London leg of her European promotional tour and checked into The Dorchester earlier this week for the duration of her stay in the U.K. capital.

But hotel executives allegedly threatened to kick Minaj out of her suite after sending fans into a frenzy and causing chaos when she stepped out to meet devotees and sign autographs. Taking to her Twitter.com page, Minaj writes, "Ugh! The lonon (sic)
barbz (fans) r giving me life! They're so passionate. They're still @ the hotel. The hotel is threatening to kick me out."

However, the rapper is refusing to cut back on her public meet-and-greets. She adds, "I can't NOT interact with my barbz. Do u NOT know how hard that is?"

New Justin Bieber PETA Ad: Animals Can Make U Smile

Justin Bieber continues to support PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) in their campaign against animal cruelty. In his new "animals can make u smile" ad for the organization, he encourages his devotees to adopt pet from local shelters instead of buying it from a pet store or a breeder.

In a previous statement, the pint-sized teen idol said, "It's really important that people adopt.
I really encourage going out to an animal shelter or a place where you can get a dog that has been abandoned or doesn't have a home."

Buying one from pet stores would only take away a home from a deserving animal waiting in a shelter for a loving family. Also, buying a dog supports puppy mills, cruel breeding operations in which dogs are raised in cramped, crude, and filthy conditions. The only solution to the dog and cat overpopulation crisis is spaying and neutering to prevent pregnancies and adopting from animal shelters, it was explained.

Portia de Rossi Recalls Bitter Heterosexual Past

Portia de Rossi before Ellen DeGeneres era was a woman with heartache. In her new memoir "Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain", the "Ally McBeal" star revealed her bitter past where her ex-husband ran off with her sister-in-law after three years of marriage.

Portia, who has legally changed her last name to DeGeneres, was married to documentary filmmaker Mel Metcalfe between 1996 to 1999. Metcalfe left her for Renee Kappos, wife of Portia's older brother Michael Rogers. They ended up marrying each other.

Speaking of how his brother's wife came to a relationship with her husband,
Portia recalled, "He had married his longtime girlfriend, Renee, just before leaving Australia and the two newlyweds moved into an apartment in the same Melrose Place-style complex that was home to me and Mel."

"The fact that Renee would wear skimpy, lacy underwear clearly visible underneath her oversized, gaping overalls should have indicated to my brother and me that a personal partnership was also forming." She continued, "But when Mel left me and Renee suddenly sabotaged her marriage to my brother to be with Mel. Brother and I were left idiotically scratching our heads in disbelief."

She mended her broken heart by sharing it with Michael. "When my husband left me, my brother moved into my place," she said. "My husband ran off with his wife, so we kept each other company and we liked to go out for margaritas and Mexican food to commiserate."

Despite leading a heterosexual life, Portia was living in denial. "By the end of our first year together, despite my desire to be attracted to him, my latent fear of my real sexuality was simmering and about to boil," she said. Portia arranged for a dissolution of marriage with the Los Angeles Superior Court in 1999 and would later meet singer Francesca Gregorini and dated her for four years before meeting the love of her life, Ellen.

Rob Kardashian Offered $45,000 to Pose Naked for Playgirl

Kim Kardashian's little brother has been offered $45,000 to bare all for Playgirl magazine. The publication's bosses insist model Rob Kardashian is a "perfect fit" for the mag. A spokesman tells Life & Style, "He's hot. Like real hot."

"While most people assumed we'd be interested in [Kourtney Kardashian's beau] Scott [Disick], my interest actually lies in the adorable Rob Kardashian," Playgirl rep Daniel Nardicio told E! News. "Rob is a perfect example of the classic Playgirl model, and we'd be proud to have him join the ranks of other quasi celebs to strip for Playgirl."

Kim herself has done a photoshoot for Playboy back in 2007. "When Hugh Hefner
himself asked me, I thought, I'm young, and this is iconic for me....And I think it looks great. I'll have those pictures forever," she reasoned.

Halle Berry and Eva Longoria Have the Best Bodies at Golden Globes

Halle Berry and Eva Longoria were big winners on the red carpet at Sunday's January 16 Golden Globes, topping Fitness magazine's Best Bodies poll. Publication editors have awarded Berry the Best Body accolade, describing the actress as "slim and shapely", while "Desperate Housewives" star Longoria lands the Best Revenge Body accolade for looking great, despite the heartbreak of her marriage split from sports star Tony Parker.
Also honored for their red carpet looks: Anne Hathaway (Best Back), Claire Danes (Best Shoulders), Amy Adams (Best Toned Arms), Sofia Vergara (Best Hourglass Figure), Jennifer Lopez (Best Butt) and pregnant Natalie Portman (Best Baby Bump).

"Mad Men" star January Jones also impressed in her revealing red dress, claiming the Fitness editors' Best Dare-to-Bare-It Look, and 73-year-old Jane Fonda picked up the Best Comeback award.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Reunite in a Dinner for Two

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have sparked speculation they are working on rebuilding their romance after reportedly meeting for a restaurant date near the singer's home in Nashville, Tennessee. The unlikely pair split before Christmas 2010, just months after embarking on a relationship, and they spent their respective December birthdays and the holidays apart.
But the stars are rumored to be giving their love another chance - they reunited at a Nashville eatery on Wednesday, January 19, according to People.com. A source says, "They were cordial to one another, but not affectionate. There was no holding hands, but they seemed happy together. They sat next to the fireplace just chatting away."

Swift, 21, was last seen with the actor, 30, in Los Angeles on December 9.

Anorexic Model Isabelle Caro's Mom Took Her Own Life

The grieving mother of tragic anorexic French model Isabelle Caro has committed suicide, less than two months after her daughter died at the age of 28. Caro, who gave anorexia a face in a shocking 2007 awareness campaign, passed away at the Bichat Hospital in France on November 17 after battling the eating disorder for almost 15 years.

Now it has emerged her mum, Marie, took her own life earlier this month after struggling with the "guilt" she felt after forcing her daughter to stay at the medical center to receive treatment for severe dehydration.
Staff at the facility are now facing legal action over allegations of negligence, which reportedly led to Caro's death.

Caro's stepfather, Christian, tells Swiss newspaper 20 Minutes, "(Marie) felt guilty for having put my daughter in the Bichat Hospital. My daughter did not want to go to that hospital."

Ashton Kutcher Confirms Possible 'Punk'd' With Justin Bieber

Ashton Kutcher has confirmed he's in talks to revive hit MTV show "Punk'd" with Justin Bieber - revealing it's a "possibility" the teenage pop star will take over his pranking duties. The hidden camera series, which saw the actor play practical jokes on unsuspecting stars, was a massive success when it launched in 2003.

It ended in 2007 but recent reports suggest Kutcher is planning to bring the show back to the small screen through his Katalyst Entertainment production
company. In an appearance on America's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Tuesday, January 18, Kutcher confirmed he's keen to revive the series - with the 16 year old singer as its new host.

He says, "I really can't talk about it because everything's sort of in process. It's a possibility that it could be happening. I will not be hosting the show in the future. People were afraid I was going to punk them wherever I went and I'm starting to get invited to stuff again and it's actually a good thing. I'll be involved in some capacity if we do it and there could be a new host but I can't say a whole lot."

"He's a nice kid and he's a funny kid - and people don't know he's a funny kid yet... and he's sneaky. And I like sneaky people."

'American Idol' Season 10 Admitted 51 From New Jersey

The new version of "American Idol" officially kicked off on Wednesday, January 19 with Jennifer Lopez struggling to say no and Steven Tyler dropping his first mean comment. Since the judges line-up was changed, the attention is divided between the judges and the contestants. Lopez and Tyler did bring a new color to the competition, not as tough as Simon Cowell but not as lenient as Paula Abdul either.

The tenth season began with an audition in New Jersey. Rachel Zevita who had tried out in season 6 came back for a second chance and sang "Hallelujah". Despite not impressing the judges instantly, they gave her the first golden ticket of the season. "We
oughta let her in the door. Water that flower 'cause I think it's gonna grow," Tyler said.

After that, a stream of good singers came in and the pattern stopped at a woman named Achille Lovle. She sang a Madonna song with a thick accent. "It's not about your accent, it's more really just about the singing," Lopez said as she was about to say her first no. Tyler was more straightforward, saying "You've got no notes."

Then there came the 'tough-to-tell' contestant. Tiffany Rios came to the audition with all the tributes which make people think she is not to be taken seriously. Apparently her intention was not too, for she sang "America needs me for higher ratings on TV." Despite the bad impression, Lopez thought she can sing so she gave her a yes vote.

A number of bad auditions montage were played and it stopped at the first sad story. Robbie Rosen had to sit on a wheelchair for sometime and he claimed he had never lost the passion to sing. He sang "Yesterday" and all the judges loved him.

Tyler dropped a nasty comment on the contestant named Michael Perotto who butchered "Proud Mary". The rocker said, "Did you eat a lot of paint chips as a child?". Randy Jackson thought Perotto should stop singing and sent him home. The first day was wrapped up with a golden ticket for Melinda Ademi from Kosovo.

The next day was highlighted with a singing waitress, a doo-wop singer's daughter, and a boy who lived on the tough street of Bronx. But the biggest spotlight was given to a 25-year-old student calling himself Yoji "Pop" Asano, who decided to mix Michael Jackson impersonation and Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA". He did not get through.

From the first audition, the tenth season admitted 51 contestants to Hollywood.

'Twilight' Star Judi Shekoni Is Host to New Reality Show

The Brit tells WENN, "It's the same format as a British show and the concept is what would happen in a world where women ruled and men obey. We went to an island to put that into action - the men had to do what they were told. It throws up the question who would be your ideal man in a woman's world."
In the last two installments of the "Twilight Saga", Shekoni plays Zafrina.

Preview of Lady GaGa's 'Born This Way' Song From Mugler Fashion Show

Lady GaGa has generously given a preview to her new song from upcoming album "Born This Way" at the recent Thierry Mugler fashion show on Wednesday, January 19. And the audio has hit the web for fans' listening pleasure. Although the footage is in low quality, it's a enough to send Little Monsters into frenzy as they are itching for it and always take what the Mother Monster gives.

The music is upbeat and GaGa can be heard chanting Mugler's name and singing some lyrics in German. A suggested English translation for the lyrics of the song remix is: "I am absolutely clear/ As long as I'm a Monster/ I wish we all could be blind/ You're amazing out
there." It's unclear whether it's the title track of the album or not.

Following the Paris fashion show where GaGa served as a musical director, there will be a short film "featuring clips from the runway and the never-before-heard track" coming out Thursday on AOL and Mugler official site for a better sneak peek.

In another news, Lady GaGa reportedly is preparing to shoot a music video for her first single by casting transgender extras. She is also gearing up to perform at the February 13 Grammy Awards, most likely showcasing the song live to the star-studded crowd of the show.

Kat DeLuna Is Cool That J.Lo's Song Is Similar to Hers

Jennifer Lopez has been accused of copying her latest track "On the Floor" from a record by R&B singer Kat DeLuna. The "Jenny From the Block" hitmaker debuted her new single on Ryan Seacrest's American radio show on Tuesday, January 18, and fans have already slated the song for its resemblance to DeLuna's track "Party O'Clock", which was released in Europe in November 2010.

Critics have pointed out that both tracks were produced by music mogul RedOne and they claim the lyrics and harmonies are similar. Lopez sings on her record, "Cuz London to
Ibiza/ Straight to L.A. New York/ Vegas to Africa," while DeLuna chants, "Party in Ibiza, Party in New York/ All the way to Africa/ Love in the Caribbean/ On my way to Vegas."

One web blogger has even made a video 'mash-up' of the two tracks to demonstrate their likeness, writing, "J Lo needs to thank Kat DeLuna." But DeLuna is adamant she's happy with the similarity of the records because she's such a huge fan of Lopez, telling the New York Daily News, "It's cool that artists like J.Lo are inspired by my musical sound and style. Jennifer helped pave the way for Latinas like myself. I love her."

Cake and Cage the Elephant Knock Taylor Swift Off No. 1 on Hot 200

After ruling two quiet weeks of Billboard Hot 200, Taylor Swift finally gives up her hot spot to rockers Cake and Cage the Elephant in this also-slow week. The former band go straight to No. 1 on the first week of their album "Showroom of Compassion" with just 44,000 copies.

This becomes the lowest-selling No. 1 album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales data in 1991. The previous record was set by Taylor Swift's "Speak
Now" just last week as the country music album took the first spot with only 52,000 units.

Cage the Elephant, meanwhile, have their album sitting at the Top 10 - their effort "Thank You, Happy Birthday" arrives at the runner-up position with 39,000 copies. Swift was pushed to fall two spots to No. 3 with another 35,000 (down 32%).

The other albums which suffer fall are Bruno Mars's "Doo - Wops & Hooligans" from No. 3 to No. 4, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" from No. 2 to No. 5, Rihanna's "Loud" from No. 6 to No. 8, and Kanye West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" from No. 7 to rounding up the Top 10.

Meanwhile, the ones who take the advantage of the quiet week and rise up to higher places are "Country Strong" soundtrack and Mumford & Sons' "Sigh No More". The former jumps from No. 10 to No. 6, and the latter moves from No. 8 to No. 9.

The next highest chart debut after Cake and Cage the Elephant's albums comes from Steel Magnolia's self-titled debut album which enters at No. 7 with 28,000 copies. Getting kicked out of the list are "Tron Legacy" soundtrack by Daft Punk, Eminem's "Recovery" and Jason Aldean's "My Kinda Party".

While the albums chart has its lowest-selling No. 1 album, the Digital Singles chart has its best sales week as Britney Spears lands at No. 1 with 411,000 downloads. She broke Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale" record (325,000 downloads), and coincidentally Swift held the title after breaking Spears' previous record.

New 'Red Riding Hood' Trailer Sees the Wolf

Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted a full trailer for "Red Riding Hood" to follow-up the teaser. Making its way out via Apple, it delves deeper into the plot and shares more thrilling scenes as the villagers prepare to the coming of the wolf. Also, a glimpse of the beastly creature is included and Amanda Seyfried's Valerie's possible encounter with the wolf is shared.

Coming from "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke, "Red Riding Hood" offers a breathtaking vision of an old legend. Valerie who is the center role is torn between two men, a brooding outsider Peter and the wealthy Henry whom her parents want her to marry. Valerie and Peter are planning to run away when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village.

Gary Oldman's Father Solomon, a famed werewolf hunter, is called by the villagers to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon, Valerie begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves.

Scripted by David Johnson, the movie is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio along with Michael Ireland, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Alex Mace and Julie Yorn. The horror thriller will be unleashed in the U.S. on March 11.

Fox Releases First Official Photos of 'X-Men: First Class'

20th Century Fox has answered people's craving for a sneak peek to "X-Men: First Class". The studio has given away three stills which are debuted exclusively by Los Angeles Times' Hero Complex. Unlike in the previously leaked cast photo which features the characters in X-Men costumes, this time they are all seen wearing daily outfits.

One photo features Caleb Landry Jones' Sean Cassidy/Banshee, Michael Fassbender's Erik Lensherr/Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence's Raven Darkholme/Mystique, Rose Byrne's Dr. Moira McTaggert, Nicholas Hoult's Hank McCoy/Beast, James McAvoy's Charles Xavier and Lucas Till's Alex Summers/Havoc together. Kevin Bacon's Sebastian Shaw and January Jones' Emma Frost are seen sitting side by side in another image, while Xavier and Lensherr are pictured in front of a chess board.

"X-Men: First Class" is currently re-shooting and director Mathew Vaughn shares this to Hero Complex, "We're filming at the moment, we've a lot to get done. I've never worked under such time pressure.... We've definitely got a release date and we've got to make it." Regarding a competition with other Marvel's upcoming releases, he is not lacking in confidence and even claims, "I will say the following: X-Men as a brand is bigger than Captain America, Thor and the Green Lantern, all put together."

McAvoy, meanwhile, wants to address to audience that he is not playing a new Xavier. "This isn't a reboot, so I'm not replacing anyone, in which case you might want to try to be as different as possible and stay away from what had been done before. This is a prequel, so I'm the same character, just younger," he explains. "But the challenge for me - and for Michael - is to show the same person in a different place in their life; to show someone before they're this bad guy, before they're this saint. Charles wasn't always a ... monk, this selfless, sexless monk that he becomes."

Producer Bryan Singer adds that "the biggest challenge is introducing an audience to these characters in a different time - characters the audience is familiar with but now see played by younger actors and in a story taking place in a different time." He continues, "You have to put your characters out there and introduce them to a quizzical public that sort of recognizes them. But that very thing is the exciting part of it."

"X-Men: First Class" will chart the epic beginning of the "X-Men" saga and follow Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr when they were still close friends who worked together with other mutants to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. It also highlights the events that lead them to become archenemies. The movie is slated for June 3, 2011 release in the U.S.
