will.i.am and Michael Jackson's Unfinished Songs Would Never Be Released

Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am yearns for fans to hear the songs he recorded with the late Michael Jackson before he died, because the collaborative experience was "awesome". The hip-hop star was one of a handful of producers who hit the studio with the "Thriller" legend in the months leading up to his untimely death in preparation for his big pop comeback.

But Jackson passed away in June 2009 and will.i.am vowed to keep the unfinished tracks under wraps out of respect for the perfectionist. The rapper recently blasted the release of Jackson's first posthumous album, "Michael", insisting the superstar would never have wanted fans to hear the songs before they were officially complete.

He said, "Whoever put it out and is profiting off of it, I want to see how cold they are. To say that what (Jackson) contributed during his life wasn't enough. He just wasn't any ordinary artist. He was a hands-on person. To me it's disrespectful. Michael Jackson songs are finished when Michael says they're finished. Maybe if I never worked with him I wouldn't have this perspective. He was very particular about how he wanted his vocals, the reverb he used... he was that hands-on."

And although will.i.am wishes he could showcase some of his work with Jackson, he is adamant it will never happen. He tells London newspaper Metro, "I actually wish the songs could come out but that's like wishing Michael was alive - and I know he didn't want them to (be released unfinished)."

"Working together was awesome. Michael was meticulous, mega-critical: 'Turn that snare down, bring that microphone down - can you bring me some ice?' And it was dope (amazing). I swear to God, that happened."

Report: Michael Jackson's Kids Watched Him Die

A devastating headline is circulating around following a second-day hearing on Michael Jackson's death. People reports a former employee testified on Wednesday, January 5 that two of Michael's children, Paris and Prince, stormed into his bedroom when Dr. Conrad Murray made an attempt to revive him.

"Paris screamed, 'Daddy,' and she started crying," Alberto Alvarez, a logistics director for Jackson said.

As Alberto told this,Janet Jackson shook her head while mom Katherine Jackson dabbed away tears. Michael, according to Alberto, was on his back with eyes and mouth open while Dr. Conrad performed a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Alberto said the personal physician shouted, "Get them out! Get them out! Don't let them see their father like this."

Alberto also revealed that he was instructed to remove bottles of a milky-white substance from the singer's room before calling emergency services. He said, "He instructed me to remove the IV bag from the IV stand." However, Conrad reportedly told Alberto to leave a second IV bag containing saline where it was.

The milky-white substance is believed to be Propofol, a powerful anaesthetic which killed Michael. Conrad told Alberto that the King of Pop had an "allergic reaction" and ordered him to collect the bottles around the room in a bag.

The preliminary hearings in Los Angeles are held to find whether there's enough evidence for an involuntary manslaughter charge against Conrad.

Justin Bieber Aiming for Michael Jackson's Success

Justin Bieber's goal in life is to reach the same level of fame as his idol Michael Jackson. The teenage pop star cites the "Thriller" hitmaker as his greatest influence, and admits he strives to emulate Jackson's success as an entertainer.

And Bieber hopes his music will eventually reach a wider audience so he can be appreciated by fans of all ages. He tells Vanity Fair magazine, "Music is music, and I'm definitely influenced by Michael Jackson."

"Michael was able to reach audiences from young to old; he never limited himself. He was so broad, everybody loved him, and that's what my goal is - to basically make people happy, to inspire them, and to have everyone root for me."

And Bieber hopes more men will start listening to his music, adding, "For younger guys, it's like (they think) they're not cool if they come to my concert. That'll (change), I think; it'll happen, maybe when I'm 18. But meanwhile all their girlfriends are coming to watch me."

Michael Jackson Was Using Mystery Cream Before Death

A mystery cream Michael Jackson was using at the time of his death in June 2009 has become a big issue as a preliminary hearing into the King of Pop's passing gets underway in Los Angeles. The singer's personal assistant Michael Amir Williams took the stand in court on Tuesday, January 4 and recalled what went down between himself and Dr. Conrad Murray after Jackson went into cardiac arrest after an overdose of anaesthetic Propofol and died.

Williams told the court Murray called him to the pop star's mansion telling him Jackson had had "a bad reaction". He then accompanied Murray to the hospital, where Jackson was pronounced dead. Williams recalled telling the King of Pop's children that their father had died, but it was a strange request from the physician that caught the court's attention on Tuesday.

The assistant said, "He (Murray) said, 'Brother Michael, Mr. Jackson has some cream in the house that I knew he wouldn't want the world to know about...' It was an odd question, to ask to go to the house to get the cream."

Williams told the packed court Murray requested a ride back to Jackson's mansion, but he declined. The personal assistant was also asked how frequently he visited the bedroom where Jackson died, and whether his fingerprints may be found on vials, intravenous bags or syringes. Williams said, "I don't know how that's possible, I never touched any of that."

Discovery Channel Postpones 'Michael Jackson's Autopsy' Following Protests

A TV re-enactment of Michael Jackson's autopsy has been shelved after the late superstar's estate executors urged network bosses to axe the macabre and controversial special. Discovery Channel chiefs have canceled plans to air the program, "Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson".

A statement from the network reads, "Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson's official autopsy has been postponed indefinitely."
The TV special was a fictional account of Jackson's autopsy, and print ads promoting it, which started running late last month, outraged the late star's estate. Co-executors John Branca and John McClain fired of a letter to Discovery boss David Zaslav last week, urging him to pull the program out of decency. They accused the network's bosses of operating in "shockingly bad taste."

Branca and McClain added, "We were especially outraged when a sickening print advertisement for the program appeared making light of Michael's death by depicting a corpse sprawled on a steel gurney covered by a sheet with a hand sticking out wearing Michael's signature sequined glove.... The ad is debased, sick and insensitive."

They concluded the letter with, "On behalf of Michael's family, fans, common sense and decency, we urge you to reconsider and cancel this program." Jackson fans also showed their outrage by signing an online petition launched in December.

Michael Jackson Album Sales: Not Invincible

Michael Jackson Album Sales: Not Invincible

Michael Jackson's posthumous new album, Michael, sold 228,000 copies in the U.S. and hundreds of thousands more abroad in its first week.

The domestic haul lagged only Taylor Swift's Speak Now (259,000) and Susan Boyle's The Gift (254,000). Not Invincible, but very formidable.

While perhaps a bit of a letdown by MJ standards, the "new" material was unreleased for a reason, and his sales trounced Crystal Bowersox.

Not surprisingly, the late King of Pop's label notes that he "shipped platinum" in 14 different territories, meaning a million or more units were sent to those areas.

That's different from his sales, which weren't nearly that high, but it's indicative of the interest his camp feels Michael will generate over the coming months.

MJ hit #1 Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden. He was #3 and #4 in Japan and the UK, respectively, but sold more than 100,000 copies in each.

The moral of the story? While will.i.am and Ne-Yo don't approve of the album, and the Thriller days are long gone ... the man is still pretty darn legendary.
